Место numina в римском пантеоне

Аннотация: Статья посвящена давно дискутируемому в антиковедении вопросу о сущности и роли богов римского пантеона, именуемых numina в трудах античных авторов и с этим же названием часто рассматриваемых в научной литературе. В статье анализируется дискуссия по numina, происходившая в конце XIX – начале XX в., приводится обширный список numina, содержащийся в сочинениях Тертуллиана, Арнобия и Аврелия Августина, и ставится вопрос об источнике информации христианских авторов по этому вопросу. Основным источником автор считает несохранившийся труд Варрона «Antiquitates rerum divinarum», что косвенно доказывает древность происхождения numina.

Place of numina in the Roman pantheon

Abstract: The article deals with the long-debated issue of the essence and role of the gods of the Roman pantheon, called numina in the works of ancient authors and with the same name often considered in scientific literature. The article considers the discussion on numina, which took place in XIX – XX centuries, an extensive list of numina is given, contained in the works of Tertullian, Arnobius and Aurelius Augustine, and the source of information of Christian authors on this issue is asked. The author considers the main source to be Varro's unsaved work "Antiquitates rerum divinarum", which indirectly proves the antiquity of the origin of numina.
