Ioannes Tsetses. Before Homer

Abstract: The work publishes a Russian translation of a poem by the Byzantine author of the 12th century Johannes Tsetzes (about 1110 – after 1180) about the events associated with the Trojan War – its beginning, course and end. The poem consists of three parts – "Before Homer", "According to Homer" and "After Homer". Here we publish a translation of the first part of the poem; translations of the second and third parts will be published later.
