«Илиада» Е.И. Кострова и «Илиада» А.И. Любжина: стилеметрический аспект

Аннотация: В статье рассматривается контекст нового перевода «Илиады», сделанного современным филологом А.И. Любжиным. Отличительная особенность этого текста – его метр, перевод выполнен александрийским стихом. Это метрическое решение было естественным для XVIII в., но в XIX в. для перевода гомеровских текстов, преодолевая сложившуюся традицию, стали выбирать русский гекзаметр (шестиударный дольник). А.И. Любжин перевел «Илиаду» таким способом с того места, где остановился поэт XVIII в. Е.И. Костров. Главная задача статьи – сравнить тексты Кострова и Любжина и установить, насколько они различаются. В качестве инструмента выбран метод стилеметрии Delta, который использует распределение наиболее частотных слов для сопоставления текстов в корпусе. Кроме текстов Кострова и Любжина, к исследованию привлекались «Россияда» М.М. Хераскова, перевод «Слова о полку Игореве» А. Палицына, выполненные в гекзаметре переводы «Илиады» Н.И. Гнедича и В.А. Жуковского. Delta показала, что все разделенные на фрагменты тексты кластеризуются вместе, то есть Delta эффективно определяет авторство и стилистическую гомогенность текстов. Однако вопреки ожиданиям Delta разделила по разным кластерам не тексты, написанные александрийским стихом, и тексты, написанные гекзаметрами, а тексты, принадлежащие к традиции XVIII в., и тексты, принадлежащие к традиции XIX в. Перевод А.И. Любжина оказался в одном кластере с поэтами пушкинской эпохи. Таким образом, новый переводчик не повторяет манеру XVIII в., а говорит на более современном языке.

Iliad by Kostrov and Iliad by Lyubzhin: the stylometry case

Abstract: The paper deals with the context of the new translation of the Iliad, made by a philologist A.I. Lyubzhin. A distinctive feature of this text is its meter, the translation is made by an Alexandrine verse. This metric solution was natural for the 18th century, but in the 19th century, to translate the Homeric texts, overcoming the established tradition, the Russian hexameter was chosen. A.I. Lyubzhin translated the Iliad from the place where the poet of the 18th century E.I. Kostrov stopped. The main purpose of the article is to compare the texts of Kostrov and Lyubzhin and to establish how they differ. As a tool, Burrows' Delta method was chosen, which uses the distribution of the most frequent words to compare texts in the corpus. In addition to the texts of Kostrov and Lyubzhin, the "Russiada" by M.M. Kheraskov, the translation of A. Palitsyn's "The Tale of Igor's Campaign", the "Iliad" translations by N.I. Gnedich and V.A. Zhukovsky were involved in the study. Delta showed that all fragmented texts are clustered together, that means that Delta effectively attributes the authorship and the stylistic homogeneity of the texts. However, contrary to expectations, Delta divided into different clusters not texts written in Alexandrine verse, and texts written in hexameters, but texts belonging to the tradition of the 18th century, and texts belonging to the tradition of the 19th century. The translation of A.I. Lyubzhin was in the same cluster with the poets of the Pushkin era. The new translator does not repeat the manner of the XVIII century, but speaks a more modern language.
